Missions is a vital part of the ministry of Evangel Temple.  We are following our Lord Jesus Christ's example as the greatest missionary: who left heaven and came to earth to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God.

We are obeying Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations..."

Over the years Evangel has been involved in many mission activities around the world and will continue to do so in our response to the Great Commission.  Below are some of the missions we are involved in and supporting.

Haiti - Earthquake Relief Effort 2010 

Evangel Temple has appointed Pastor Terry Nelson of Light Ministries Inc, Orlando Florida as our agent to bring urgently needed humanitarian aid to the traumatized people of Haiti. Pastor Nelson has been in ministry since 1980. He and his wife Cary have incorporated LIGHT MINISTRIES, an outreach based and guided by the Word of God.

They have preached the Word of God in several countries, but their first love is Haiti, where they have served for 19 years. God is using the Nelsons to break the curse on Haiti and rebuild the land into a nation full of His glory.
Pastor Nelson is in Haiti now, guiding the relief efforts and using as his base a church in Port au Prince that has miraculously escaped the devastation all around it.

Please continue to give generously to bring humanitarian aid and the Word of God to the people of Haiti.

Guyana

Through our missionary work in Guyana, a church has been established in Potarinau Village, and a church built, which serves as a base for reaching out to the nearby villages.  Food and other aid is regularly supplied to small villages. We broadcast a weekly gospel message through a TV Station in Bartica. 

Philippines

In the Philippines, we support Pastors Daniel and Hatie Naraine to preach the gospel, equip, train and mentor pastors.  Their ministry offers care to the hungry, forgotten, abandoned and neglected through feeding programs.  As well medical/dental services and clothing the poor.

India      

Evangel is partnering with Calcutta Mercy Mission to reach out to the people of India.  Calcutta Mercy Mission is founded on the work of missionaries Mark and Huldah Buntain. Over 53 years, they established a vast network of ministries to serve the spiritual and physical needs of others. Today, Huldah, her daughter, Bonnie, and  Bonnie's husband, Dr. Jim, continue to lay a new foundation for the future.

Ukraine

Master's Foundation has been serving Ukraine for over 25 years. They are extensively involved in the procurement and distribution of humanitarian aid to orphanages, care of orphans as well as supporting 8 Pastors and 2 Children's Pastors. Evangelism is an integral part of Master's ministry through literature publication, Bible distribution and a weekly radio broadcast to over 3 million people. Masters also sponsors several summer camps for orphans and special needs children.

We are supporting the Faith's Orphans Fund to reach out to less fortunate children with basic necessities of life and with the love of Jesus Christ.

Canadian Arctic   

We support Rev. Kayy Gordon and the Glad Tidings Arctic Mission Society to reach out to communities in the Arctic with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Global Harvest Ministry International

In North Africa and The Middle East we support Rev. Mark Davy through Global Harvest Ministry International to preach the gospel.  Over 1.6 million decisions have been made for the Lord in the last 10 years.
