What kind of church is Evangel Temple?      

Evangel Temple is a New Testament, Bible based, dynamic, Holy Spirit-filled, non-denominational church. Our Vision is to be "a caring community of committed believers, who are making disciples of Jesus Christ, in the temple (Sanctuary) and from house to house" (Small Groups).

Carrying out Christ's Great Commission is the reason for our existence.

How can I become a church member?

At Evangel Temple we ask those who desire to become members to have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  Also to follow some important steps, including attendance at a class designed for further personal growth, affirmation and encouragement in their spiritual walk.

Please visit the Information Centre on Sunday mornings to pick up a membership package and inquire about this class.

What if I'm new to church?

At Evangel Temple we love and welcome all New People, whether you are visiting us or looking for a church to call home. Come to our New Peoples Room, Room 102 on the ground floor immediately following the Sunday Service. There you'll meet our Pastors and key leaders who will help you get connected. If you have children of any age, we also have classes to help to meet their needs.

What should I expect when I arrive at Evangel Temple?

At Evangel Temple we do our best to make everyone, experience the love of Christ through a warm welcome. People are uplifted by dynamic worship, where freedom to praise God reigns and the Word of God is preached and ministered. Over 80 nationalities, cultures and backgrounds have been represented, as well as people of all ages and walks of life.  We are united through our common love for God and each other.

What is Water Baptism?

Water Baptism is held regularly in the main Sanctuary as part of our Sunday morning services.  We hold a special class to teach and guide you through the process. For further information, please contact  416 221 2330.

What is Holy Spirit Baptism?

We believe that Holy Spirit Baptism is a gift available to all believers. We hold regular classes as part of our Leadership Training in Discipleship 1 & 2, Encounter, and School of Leaders.

What is Baby Dedication?

Baby dedication is a public dedication of the child to the Lord and an act of commitment to Godly parenting. This recognizes that children are "an inheritance from the Lord" (Psalm 127:3). It is important that, you as parents;

• have affirmed your personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (John 3:16).
• are living in a relationship with the Lord that includes daily prayer, reading the Bible so you can be a Godly influence in your child's life.
• are attending worship services (Hebrews 10:25).
• recognize that you are the influential instrument God will use in shaping your child's life (Matthew 25:14-30).

If you are interested in having your child dedicated or have any questions, please contact the Nursery Department at 416 221 2330, ext. 236 to submit an application form. We will then arrange an appointment for you with a Pastor and discuss preparations for the Dedication.

How can I use my ministry gifts to serve God and the church?

At Evangel Temple there are many opportunities to serve ! We require that Evangel Temple members have the right personal and spiritual foundation to serve. How can I meet others and get connected?

The most important way to get connected in Evangel Temple is to be involved in a Small Group. These form the heartbeat of our church, bringing encouragement, spiritual growth and friendship to those who attend. Whatever your background, age, or current situation in life, we can help you find a small group that fits you. 

How can I receive prayer?

Please contact the church office at 416 221 2330. You can also fill out a prayer request form located in the foyer. In addition, our Prayer Partners work closely with the WholeLife Television ministry. We also have a Pastor on call for emergencies.
