Senior Pastor

Pastor Gary Beesley began his ministry at Evangel Temple in September 2009.  He has pastored in both Canada and the United States, is anointed for ministry in song (inspiring others to join in Him in praise of the King of kings), and has ministered evangelistically throughout the world in almost 40 countries. His love for Jesus, and the people Jesus loves, fuels his passion to see the lost come to know Christ as Lord.

Joining him in ministry is his sweetheart Jan. She works with Gary in the ministry bringing her own gifts to us as an accomplished musician, preacher of the Word and minister to the needs of women. Together, she and Pastor Gary enjoy their three sons and daughters-in-law as well as their four lovely granddaughters.

Besides their live ministry, you may also enjoy their Worship CD entitled "Longing and Waiting". Pastor Gary has also written a book entitled "The Spirit Filled Believer's Daily Confessions".

Associate Pastor & Sunday School Coordinator

Pastor Paul Gonsalves is one of our Associate Pastors.  He has been attending Evangel Temple for over 24 years and began in ministry just two years after that. As an associate pastor he is actively involved in many areas of ministry including Outreach, Missions, Leading a Small Group and overseeing the church's Ministry of Helps, all initiating from his love for God, passion for souls and desire to see God's people growing in faith.

Pastor Paul is married to Jacqueline, our Sunday School Coordinator. Affectionately known as Jackie, she has been a vital part of the church family and served in various ways on staff for over 15 years. As Pastor Paul's wife, she is also the greatest support to him and their lovely children.

Associate Pastor

Pastor Isaac Addo-Bekoe is one of our Associate Pastors. As a member of Evangel for over 20 years and a love for God and His people, he began to play an active role in ministry very early on. He is currently overseeing the various classes offered at Evangel, as well as the men's ministry.  He passionately ministers so that the body of Christ at Evangel is equipped to do the ministry that God has called us to.

Pastor Isaac is married to Clara and has three lovely children (two sons and a daughter). Clara is also a vital part of the ministry team, supporting Pastor Isaac and overseeing the Women's ministry.

Senior's and 55+ Ministry


 

Pastor Philip Cherian is the Pastor for our Seniors and those 55+.  As one of the busiest groups of people at Evangel, Pastor Philip ensures that the seniors are well looked after, and given many opportunities to minister and fellowship with one another.

Originally hailing from India, Pastor Philip is full of life and can be found sharing that life of God on a regular basis through preaching and missions.  He is married to Anna and has two grown daughters.

Youth & Young Adult Pastor

Jason Snider is our Youth and Young Adults Pastor. He and his wife Arlene have been with us and actively involved in ministry for the past year.  Jason has a passion to see God's plan fulfilled in the lives of the youth and young adults.  So while their main areas of activity have been with the Jr and Sr Youth, our young adults have much to look forward to in the near future as well.

He also loves football ... especially the Argos.

Worship Pastor & Director of Creative and Technical Ministries

Dawson Phillips is the Worship & Technical Ministries Director. He has been involved in the music ministry in various capacities from childhood.  He has been in full-time ministry for the past 18 years. He is happily married to Paulette and the proud father of a beautiful daughter (and future worship leader perhaps?), Raeana.

Dawson brings his many talents and passion for God and His work together in leading and instructing the Worship Teams and related Technical Departments.  In so doing he is seeing the great news of the gospel spread all over the world and is training others to do the same through worship, arts and life.

Aside from ministry, Dawson is an avid cyclist who loves social events, and takes his lawn very seriously.

Nursery Ministry

Marie Chin is the Nursery and Pre-school Supervisor at Evangel Temple.  She first became involved with this ministry over 10 years ago, soon after her family (including her husband Andrew, and her sons Brandon and Dillon) began to attend Evangel.  Marie works with parents, nursery workers and Sunday School teachers to fulfill her passion and introduce Jesus to babies and toddlers in a positive way.

Business Administrator


 

Dieter Martensen has been on staff at Evangel Temple for over 25 years and currently serves as the Business Administrator, a job which involves keeping the senior pastor and executive board informed and taking care of the day-to-day business affairs of the church.  Married to his lovely wife Hedda, he has been a member of Evangel Temple for over 35 years, and also serves as a Deacon and the Secretary Treasurer of the Executive Board of Directors.

Dieter has also lived in the Caribbean and settled in Canada over 39 years ago. Beside the business of the church, Dieter is also most passionate about seeing God's will be done at Evangel, and at seeing the good news of the gospel ministered to the lost throughout the world through an increase in missions.
